Jenny Bienemann is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist based in Chicago.  Described as falling “somewhere between winking innocence and worldly detachment,” her music has been featured in TV, film and theatre productions, and earned her comparisons to Suzanne Vega, Ricki Lee Jones, and Michael Hedges.

Jenny's music receives national airplay on outlets as varied as MSNBC, National Public Radio, and The Howard Stern Show.  She plays regularly with her own band and as a duo with her husband Robin Bienemann. She offers private song coaching, has led songwriting workshops at Lamb's Retreat for Songwriters and the Friendly School of Music, and is currently on the staff of the Old Town School of Folk Music.

Her current album, "Every Soul Grows to the Light” features finger style guitar and lyrics that meditate on love, loss, and finding the joy in things that don't go as planned.  The song “Pay the Piper,” is an imagined meeting between the Piper and the Devil, and features singer/songwriter Michael Peter Smith (author of the song The Dutchman).
